Steps:
3.2.1. Synthesis of Methyl Pyrazine-2-Carbimidate
First, 11 mL (0.12 mol) of cyanopyrazine was dissolved in 30 mL of MeOH, and 0.5mL (3.3 mmol) of DBU (1,8-diazabicyclo [5.4.0]undec-7-ene) was added. The mixture was refluxed for 1 h and cooled, and the carbimidate precipitate was filtered off. Thus, 13.5 g(82%) of the product was obtained. Carbimidate was recrystallized from methanol. Analytical data were in accordance with the literature [29,30].
