2.6General Procedure for Hydrogenation
General procedure: To a solution of zearalenonederivative (1.0 equiv) in EtOH (0.012 M) was added Pd/C (5 wt.%, 4 or 5 mol%).The mixture was stirred at room temperature under H2 atmosphere.After completion of the reaction, it was filtered through a pad of Celite,washed with EtOAc and concentrated in vacuo. Purification of the cruderesidue by column chromatography gave the pure hydrogenated compound.
