以2-羥甲基噁唑為原料合成2-(氯甲基)惡唑的一般步驟：在0℃下，向2-羥甲基惡唑（450 mg，4.5 mmol）的二氯甲烷（DCM，25 mL）溶液中緩慢滴加亞硫酰氯（SOCl2，3.25 mL，45 mmol）。反應(yīng)混合物在0℃下攪拌1小時。隨后，向反應(yīng)體系中加入水（50 mL）和乙酸乙酯（EtOAc，60 mL）進行萃取。分離有機相和水相，有機相用無水硫酸鈉干燥后，減壓濃縮，得到2-(氯甲基)惡唑，為白色固體（200 mg，1.7 mmol，產(chǎn)率37%）。
