Tripropylene glycol is a colorless, slightly viscous liquid.??
Tripropylene glycol is made commercially as a by-product of propylene glycol production. It is used much as the other glycols as an intermediate in the production of ethers, esters, and resins; as a nonvolatile solvent; and as a polyester humectant and a plasticizer. It is not used in drugs, pharmaceuticals, or food applications because its toxicological properties have not been clearly defined.
