What is Cinnamaldehyde?
Cinnamaldehyde is commonly referred to as cinnamaldehyde and is naturally found in essential oils such as Sri Lankan cinnamon oil, cinnamon oil, musk oil, hyacin oil and rose oil. The cinnamaldehyde has two isomers, cis and trans. Commercially available cinnamaldehyde, whether natural or synthetic, is a trans-form.

Cinnamon contains the constituent, cinnamaldehyde, found in the volatile oil fraction of the plant. Cinnamaldehyde has potent antioxidant actions, protecting cells from oxidative damage, and supporting healthy fat and cholesterol balance within the normal range.
