Performance & Application

This product is a methanol solution of lithium methoxide. It is

mainly used as a condensing agent and a strong base catalyst for

transesterification reaction of organic synthesis, and a

methoxylation agent for the preparation of vitamins and

sulfamethidine drugs. A small amount is used in pesticide

production. It can also be used as a catalyst for edible fatty oils.

Usage

As lithium methanol is not easy to preserve, this product is a

colorless and transparent solution of methanol containing 10%,

which is volatile and flammable. It is easy to absorb water and

decompose from the air to produce lithium hydroxide, which makes

the solution cloudy, reacts violently in water, and has toxicity.

Protective measures should be taken after opening the lid, and the

lid of the barrel should be sealed and stored after use.

Packing & Storage

This product is packed in composite plastic drum, net weight

175kg per barrel, beware of moisture, high temperature and sunlight,

storage period of 12 months.
