| Description | SRD5A1-IN-1 is an inhibitor of steroid 5α-reductase type 1 (SRD5A1, IC50 = 1.44 μM). SRD5A1-IN-1 lowers the production of dihydrotestosterone and shows a significant decrease in the SRD5A1 protein expression. |
| In vitro | In HaCaT cells, SRD5A1-IN-1 (0.5-2.5 μM) lowers the expression of SRD5A1 protein and modulates SRD5A1 via the dual actions that affect the level of SRD5A1 protein expression and the activity of the SRD5A1 enzyme. SRD5A1-IN-1 (0.5-2.5 μM) does not affect the mRNA expression of SRD5A1 and shows no significant cytotoxicity[1]. |
