Magnesiumhydroxide is a white powder which is nontoxic, odorless, non-corrosion and withgood flame retarding effect. It has good stability, decomposition temperatureis about 330, especially suitable for resin processed in relative hightemperature. Large amount of vapor is produced during combustion, the heat istaken away and the temperature drops. The hardness is less than that ofaluminum hydroxide.
