General procedure for the alcoholysis of epoxides:
General procedure: To a solution of epoxide(1 mmol) and alcohol (5 mmol) was added 1 mg of graphite oxide (GO) at room temperature and the mixture stirred for the time indicated in Table 2 prior to GC/MS analysis. CH2Cl2 was added and the mixture was filtered and evaporated under reduced pressure. Pure products were isolated by flash column chromatography using hexane/EtOAc (6:1) as eluent.
