To the mixture of 16 sodium hydride (2.08 g, 52.1 mmol) in ether (100 mL), compound 17 3,3-dimethoxypropionitrile (5 g, 43.4 mmol) and 18 ethyl formate (6.43 g, 86.8 mmol) was added successively. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for two days. The resulting mixture was filtered, the solid was washed three times with ether, and dried to obtain the target 19 compound ( 5 g , 70% ).
