Steps:
Fluorescein (1.0 mmol) dissolved in 4 mL THF, and then NaBH4(6.0 mmol) was added. The mixture was allowed to stir at room temperaturefor 96 h, the solvent was removed under vacuum and the residuewas purified by column chromatography using gradient MEOH/DCM as eluent (Scheme 3).
