2.5. General procedure for the Nalkylation of amines with alcohols
General procedure: Under an inert atmosphere, KOBut (1 mmol), the aromatic amine (1 mmol), the alcohol derivative (1.5 mmol) and the Ru-NHC complex (2.5 mol%) were added to a Schlenk tube. The sealed Schlenk tube was stirred at 120 °C for 24 h. At the end of the reaction,the mixture was cooled to room temperature, CH2Cl2 (2 mL)was added and the resulting solution was filtered through a shortpad of SiO2. The filtrate was analysed by GC-MS with the calibrations based on dodecane.
