Step cExamples 13 to 30A 150 mL-autoclave (Hastelloy) was charged with 40 g of DMOI with a purity of 99.8% and the amount and catalyst as given in table 4. 4.7 mg of the modifier 2,2' ethylene-dithiodiethanol were added. The mixture was heated to 30° C. and hydrogen was added at 2 bar. After reaction, when no up-take of hydrogen was observed any more, the mixture was cooled to 20° C., the catalyst separated by filtration and the mixture analyzed by gas chromatography.
