5.1.1. General procedure for the synthesis of isocyanates
General procedure: To a solution of 1 eq. of triphosgene in dichloromethane and 3eq. of aniline, a 0.1 M solution of triethylamine (3 eq.) was addedvery slowly at room temperature. The cloudy reaction mixture wasstirred at RT until it becomes colorless solution. The solvent wasthen evaporated under vacuum to obtain the crude isocyanatewhich was used without further purification.
