Light Irradiation of Compounds 1-7
General procedure: 1 (100 mg, 339 μmol) wasdissolved in either CHCl3, THF, methanol or DCM (15 mL) andstirred for 120 min irradiated by a UV-lamp (365 nm, 200 μWatt/cm2)in a distance of around 2 cm. If the reaction is performed in CDCl3,the reaction can be followed by NMR (see Scheme 1). The crude product wasextracted with DCM (3 x 30 mL), washed with water (2 x 25 mL), driedover MgSO4, filtered off and concentrated under reduced pressure.The product was obtained after column chromatography (silica, hexane/ethyl acetate (4:1), Rf=0.33). Compound 8 was obtained (characterization seeabove) (yield: 52 mg, 96%).
