Steps:

4-6 Example 6 Preparation of γ-heptanolactone:

Add 60g of crude 2-furan acrylate in Example 2 in a 500ml high-pressure hydrogenator (GC: 95% 0.361mol), 6g palladium-carbon catalyst, nitrogen replacement air, hydrogen replacement nitrogen, fill hydrogen to 1MPa, and heat to 100 °C under stirring. Continue stirring until the pressure no longer drops, about 15 hours. Cool to room temperature and filter out the catalyst. The filtrate was collected by vacuum distillation of 40.26 g (0.30 mol) γ-heptanolactone fraction with a purity of 95.56% (GC) and a yield of 87.51%. The crude product was distilled under reduced pressure to obtain 35.12g (0.272mol) of γ-heptanolactone, with a content of 99.4% and a total reaction yield of 71.48%.
