The title compound from Step E above (0.86 g, 3.76 mmol) was dissolved in dichloromethane (40 mL) and pyridinium chlorochromate (1.18 g, 5.48 mmol) was added in portions. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 18 h, filtered through a pad of Celite and the Celite was washed with dichloromethane (20 mL). The combined filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by chromatography on silica using ethyl acetate/n-heptane (60/40) as a mobile phase to afford the title compound as a colorless oil (0.76 g, 89%)1H-NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ=1.42 (s, 3H), 1.45 (s, 9H), 1.77 (dt, 2H), 2.23-2.50 (m, 6H), 4.48 (br-s, 1H)
