13.1 Step 1: Synthesis of tert-bulyl 4-(5-bromopyrazin-2-yl)piperazine-] -carboxylate
A mixture of 2,5-dibromopyrazine (2 g, 8.40 mmol), tert-butyl piperazine-1-carboxylate (1.86 g, 10.0 mmol) and DIPEA (1.62 g, 12.6 mmol) in NMP (40 mL) was stirred at 110 °C for 2 h. Diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with water and brine, dried over Na2SO4, and concentratedto give the title product (2.8 g, yield 97%). MS (ES+) C13H19BrN4O2 requires: 342, found: 343 [M+H] .
