General procedure: To a solution of iodoalkanes (0.12 mmol, 1.0 equiv) in CH3CN (1.2 mL) was added Fe(phen)3Cl2 (0.12 mmol, 1.0 equiv). After being stirred at 60 oC for the proper reaction time, solvent evaporation and silica gel column chromatography afforded the corresponding alkyl chloride product
