Example 2 1.26 mol per hour of 1-amino-3,3,5-trimethyl-5-amino-methylcyclohexane were reacted with 5.91 mol per hour of phosgene under the process conditions of Example 1, using 1.25 mol per hour of nitrogen as diluent for the diamine. 1-isocyanato-3,3,5-trimethyl-5-isocyanatomethyl-cyclohexane was obtained in a yield of 99.9%.
