General Procedure A
General procedure: To a solution of γ-aminobutyric acid (1.0 mmol, 1 equiv) in 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol (10 mL) were added the aldehyde (1.0 mmol, 1 equiv) and the isocyanide (1.0 mmol, 1 equiv). Unless otherwise indicated, the mixture was stirred and heated at 40 °C for 24 h. The solution was then concentrated in vacuo and the product was isolated by column chromatography on silica gel
