300g of 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone was added to 200g of dimethyl carbonate, and 20g of sodium carbonate was added, mixed and stirred, heated to 160-170°C, refluxed for 10 hours, and the reaction was completed. Distill under reduced pressure at 220-230°C and 1 mmHg to obtain 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone with a yield of 94%.
