在室溫下，將56 g 2-萘酚和86.6 mL甲苯混合，制備成溶液。向該溶液中加入N-甲基-N-(3-甲基苯基)硫代甲酰氯（式D化合物）、40 g碳酸鈉、0.8 g溴化四丁基銨以及200 mL甲苯。反應完成后，將反應混合物加熱回流5小時。反應結(jié)束后，冷卻至室溫，用水洗滌反應混合物，干燥有機層，隨后減壓濃縮。最后，通過乙醇重結(jié)晶純化產(chǎn)物，得到100 g O-萘-2-基 甲基(間甲苯基)氨基硫代甲酸酯（式E化合物）。
