Using maleic anhydride as a raw material, a 20-40% maleic acid solution is obtained by hydrolysis. Ozone is introduced in series at 15-25°C for oxidation, with a molar ratio of ozone to maleic acid of approximately 1.2-1.25:1. The reaction solution is then subjected to vacuum distillation to recover formic acid and water, yielding an 80% glyoxylic acid solution. Finally, granular white glyoxylic acid monohydrate is obtained by crystallization.
