7 Synthesis of compound 7-b
Compound 7-a (2,5-dimethoxyaniline, 10.0 g, 65.28 mmol) was dissolved in toluene (130 ml) and then ethyl acetoacetate (8.3 ml, 65.28 mmol) was added thereto. A Dean-Stark apparatus was installed, followed by refluxing overnight. Toluene was evaporated after terminating reaction and then a crude product was purified through column chromatography { Ethyl acetate (EA):hexane (HX)= 1: 1} and recrystallization.Yield: 93%
