Reaction Conditions:

Stage #1: ethyl bromidewith magnesium in tetrahydrofuran;Reflux;
Stage #2: 3-chloro-benzonitrile in tetrahydrofuran;
Stage #3: with hydrogenchloride in tetrahydrofuran;water;
