Steps:
1.1 (1) Synthesis of 2-nitro-3-methylbenzoyl chloride
2-nitro-3-methylbenzoic acid (10.0 g, 0.055 mol), dichloroethane (200 ml), chlorosulfoxide (23.8 g, 0.2 mol), and DMF (1 drop) were sequentially added to a 250 ml single-necked flask, heated to reflux and reacted for 3 h.
Then, the solvent was removed under elevated pressure to obtain a brown liquid (11.0 g, yield 100%).
The product was directly used in next step without further post-treatment.
