171.a Preparation of 2-ethoxyethyl acetate
Is set to have a 2-ethoxyacetic acid (20g, 0.19mol) in ethanol (200 mL) was added sulfuric acid (10mL). The resultant reactionmixture was reacted at 100 degrees for two hours. After completion of the reaction, the reaction solution was diluted with ethylacetate and after concentrating, the organic phase was washed twice with water, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate andconcentrated to a yellow oily liquid (19.5g, 78%).
