EXAMPLE 53 Preparation of Nα,Nδ-di-(9-Fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl)-L-ornithine (Compound No. 73) The reaction of 9-fluorenylmethyl chloroformate with L-ornithine according to the conditions described in example 2 provided the title product in 79% yield. 1H NMR (DMSO6): 1.42-1.80 (m, 4H), 3.00 (m, 2H), 3.94 (m, 1H), 4.20 (t, J=6.3, 2H), 4.29 (d, J=7.0, 4H), 7.28 (t, J=5.2, 1H), 7.30-7.48 (m, 8H), 7.63 (d, J=7.6, 1H), 7.67-7.73 (m, 4H), 7.88 (m, 4H), 12.50 (br s, 1H).
