Steps:
Synthesis of iso-propyldiphenylphosphine from 2-chloropropane by sodium diphenylphosphide.
Under nitrogen, to a mixture of Ph2PNa (0.2 mmol in 0.5 mL THF), 2-chloropropane (22 mL, 0.24 mmol) was added at 0 °C. After stirred for 6 hours, the mixture was analyzed by GC and 31P NMR. δ = 1.88 (s, 99%).
