General procedure for thionations with LR.
General procedure: Method A. To a THF solution of appropriate amide (1.0 mmol) was added Lawesson’s reagent (0.5 mmol) at room temperature and the mixture was stirred at this temperature for 24 h. To the resulting mixture was added silica gel and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by column chromatography using hexane/ethyl acetate as eluent to give compounds 2e and 2h-j.
