To a solution of 2-Fluoro-5-nitrobenzoic acid (4.86 g, 26.2 mmol) in dioxane (50 rnl) was added morpholine (11.5 ml). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The solvent was removed in vacuo. The residue was dissolved in water and the mixture was acidified with HCL 2N. The solid was filtered, washed with water and dried to provide the title compound (6.2 g, 93%) as a yellow solid, MS (m/e): 251.2 (M-H, 100%).
